A B O U T

Jason Lee Courson is a New York based Scenic and Projection Designer. Recently his work as a projection designer was seen on Broadway in RUBEN AND CLAY'S FIRST ANNUAL CHRISTMAS SHOW. He designed both scenery and projection for AMERIKE: THE GOLDEN LAND at the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbine as well as for the recurring Off-Broadway musical, NEWSical. His projection designs were recently seen in Broadway in Chicago's production of GOTTA DANCE (soon to be HALFTIME at Papermill Playhouse). His production design credits include films, “What Happens Next”, "Big Gay Musical", "Grind". Jason has designed multiple shows and events in New York Fashion Week including 10 years of “The Red Dress Collection” as well as iterations of Naomi Campbell’s “Fashion for Relief”. Projection and scenic design for BROADWAY BARES 2016 and 2017 as well as projection design for previous years. Assistant designer for opening ceremonies of 2014 Sochi Olympics and 2015 European Games in Baku. Jason pursued studies at Valdosta State University, (GA) and holds a BFA and MFA in Scenic Design from the Design/Technology Conservatory Program, Purchase College (NY).
